The Behavioral Health Professional (Indiana) (Licensed) is responsible using recreational and social activities to foster skill building and problem solving as well as accomplish treatment objectives. The Behavioral Health Specialist works as a part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team supporting the patients to enhance their skill sets to reinforce social, adaptive, and independent living skills.
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related social sciences field required
Specific training in recreational therapy preferred
National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) preferred
Correctional environment experience preferred
Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
